Where It's At

The Birchcliffe Centre is a beautiful converted chapel in Hebden Bridge, with an adjoining hostel. It’s the home of environmental heritage charity Pennine Heritage and our base for the weekend.

Hebden Bridge, perched on the slopes of the lower Yorkshire Dales, is a hub for creative and tech-minded people, and its town centre is a quirky mix of organic cafes and eco-friendly independent shops. And despite its size, the Hebden Bridge Trades Club pulls some of the biggest names on the touring circuit.

Transport: Hebden Bridge is on the Manchester Victoria to Leeds line and trains run every 30 minutes during the day. The venue is a 15 minute walk from the railway station (nb everywhere in Hebden Bridge involves walking up a steep hill!).

Walks: Hebden bridge is great starting point for walks and footpaths lead from The Birchcliffe Centre’s front door directly into the woods and out onto the moors. Pennine Horizons have produced some e-trail apps of the local area.
